Stacy Allen, LPC
Office Location: Westerville

 
Stacy L. Allen, MS., MSEd., LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor holding a Masters of Science degree from the University of Dayton in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a member of Chi Sigma Iota international honor society. She also has a Masters in Forensic Psychology from Tiffin University.

Stacy is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma therapy and is dedicated to providing quality mental health services.  Stacy establishes a therapeutic alliance with clients which she believes is key to helping clients move through and change ineffective thought processes and build confidence in making sound choices.

Stacy's counseling perspective is to respect each client's distinctive life journey and personal narrative.  Stacy is experienced working with adults, children, families and couples of diverse backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities that have experienced dysfunction, trauma, abuse, sudden loss and crime victimization.


Amanda Allison, LSW  (she/her)

Office Location: Westerville

Amanda is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Amanda completed her undergraduate degree at University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then went on to earn her Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University.

Prior to obtaining her Master's degree, Amanda worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher. While at The Ohio State University, she worked with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. This experience included case management with Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities Service Coordination and a clinical practice with individuals and their families at Nisonger Center.

At Nemeth Counseling, Amanda provides mental health services to children, adults, and couples. She uses an eclectic style of strengths-based, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and active listening to help her clients create the best path to meet their goals. Amanda offers the support to help clients move through problems and build their skills to handle future events.


Shira Alt, LPC  (she/her)

Office Location: Westerville

Shira Alt is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She received her Master of Science in Clinical/Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. While obtaining her Master’s degree, Shira served as a clinical intern for a non-profit organization that provides support services to those experiencing homelessness. She also worked as a guidance counselor for elementary and middle school-age girls at a Baltimore private school.

After relocating to Columbus, Shira worked at an assisted living facility conducting cognitive rehabilitation sessions with residents suffering from memory loss. Shira’s passion for helping others create meaningful and satisfying relationships led her to train and work as a dating and relationship coach for Marriage Minded Mentor, LLC, and to publish articles on the topic.

At Nemeth Counseling, Shira works with individuals and couples and takes a holistic approach to helping her clients. She draws from Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused therapy and other evidence-based modalities.

Shira is passionate about creating a warm and supportive environment for her clients to learn new skills, overcome life challenges, and gain deeper insights into themselves and their strengths.


Melissa Anderson, LPC (she/her)
Office Location: Westerville

Melissa Anderson is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She completed her undergraduate degree at Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies, and went on to Ohio University where she earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During this time, she gained skills and experience providing individual and group counseling services to college students at Ohio University's Counseling and Psychological Services.

At Nemeth Counseling, Melissa works as a full-time outpatient therapist at the Westerville location, seeing a diverse population of adolescents, adults, couples and families. Her professional interests and experiences include adjustment and navigating life transitions, relational concerns, identity development, depression, anxiety, academic stress, and wellness.

Melissa's approach to therapy utilizes a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and other strengths-based approaches. Throughout the therapeutic process, Melissa believes it is important to consider each client's unique background and characteristics and aims to provide an empathetic and collaborative environment where clients develop coping skills and insight.


Kate Berman, LSW  (she/her)
Office Location: Hilliard

Kate Berman is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Kate received her Bachelor of Sciences in Applied Psychology and a minor in Media, Culture, and Communications from New York University. She later attended The Ohio State University where she earned her Master of Social Work.

Prior to attending obtaining her Masters degree, Kate worked at a non-profit agency in Atlanta which provides therapeutic services to grieving children who have lost a parent or a sibling. During this time she assisted in the creation and implementation of therapeutic programming to help encourage mourning, enhance processing, and learn coping skills. Upon moving to Columbus, she worked with adolescents with criminal backgrounds and a history of drug and alcohol use, helping them to restructure behavioral and social patterns while adjusting to life post jail.

At Nemeth Counseling, Kate works with individuals of all ages, including couples and families. She uses a strengths-based, solution-focused perspective, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and emphasizes taking a holistic approach to therapy. Kate works to help clients identify their strengths and create solutions to reach their goals. She also believes in treating each client on an individualized basis, viewing each therapeutic relationship as unique.


Nick Brausch, LSW (he/him)

Office Location: Hilliard

NickNick Brausch is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.  Nick earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Substance Misuse/Addiction from The Ohio State University.  He continued his education at Ohio State and graduated from the university’s Master of Social Work program with a clinical focus on Mental Health and Substance Use practice.

Prior to joining Nemeth Counseling, Nick provided services as an assistant to the intake counseling and case management teams at Columbus Area Integrated Health Services, a community mental health center.  During this time, he completed mental health assessments, conducted in-home client visits, and coordinated resource connections for clients.

At Nemeth Counseling, Nick began as a clinical intern in the Westerville office. He maintained a caseload consisting of children, adolescents and adults; additionally, he co-facilitated the CBT Wellness therapy group. Outside of the office, Nick gained experience working with children diagnosed with various emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities as a volunteer at an alternative elementary school.

Nick is passionate about helping others with self-improvement and enhancing healthy interpersonal communication.  He recognizes the powerful connection between thoughts and behavior and aims to help clients create meaningful change in their lives.  He utilizes elements of Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT and Motivational Interviewing, among other practices, to help clients lead happier and healthier lives.


Milena Brumbaugh, LISW-S (she/her)

Milena

Milena Brumbaugh is an independently licensed social worker with a supervisory designation through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Milena graduated from the College of Wooster with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a minor in sociology, then went on to receive her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University.

Prior to attending Ohio State, Milena worked for over two years at Step by Step Academy, a center for children with autism. She has also worked for over three years as a home health aide for children on the autism spectrum. At each of these positions, Milena employed Applied Behavioral Analysis methods to help children of all ages work to reach their full potential both in the community and at home. In addition, she also worked as a receptionist, intake coordinator, and administrative assistant at Directions Counseling Group in Worthington, Ohio.

At Nemeth Counseling and Consultation, Milena is an Outpatient Therapist and the Clinical Director. Her primary focus is providing mental health services for adults and adolescents. She also works with children, having led multiple Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy groups at an elementary school. Milena works with individuals and couples who are facing multiple difficulties, including: anxiety, depression, mood disorders, couples counseling, and trauma. Her treatment approaches are guided by the methods of Applied Behavioral Analysis, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy.

Milena believes in the strengths and competencies of each of her clients, and she is confident that every person already possesses what they need to reach their goals. Trust, empathy, and open communication play a significant role in all of her sessions. Whether you are an individual seeking therapy, or a couple looking to improve your relationship, Milena emphasizes active listening while helping you to develop healthy ways to work through your current issues.


Alexandra Folzenlogen, LPCC (she/her)

AlexAlexandra Folzenlogen is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Alex received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at The Ohio State University. She went on to earn her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana State University.

In her first year of graduate school, Alex provided mental health services to children, adults, families, and couples in an outpatient setting. During her second year of graduate school, she worked as a therapist in the Student Services Center at Rose-Hulman University, providing individual, group, and couples therapy to a diverse population of college students. After graduate school, she moved back to Columbus, OH and worked at St. Vincent Family Center in the partial hospitalization program for two and a half years.

Alex continues to work with individuals, families and couples with mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, behavioral disorders, and substance use disorders. Her treatment approaches are guided by the methods of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing. Alex believes in providing a therapeutic environment based on authenticity, warmth, and support. She strives to assist each client in finding their personal strengths and empowering them to accomplish their treatment and life goals.


Deborah Frazier, LSW (she/her)

Deb

Deborah Frazier is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Deborah attended The Ohio State University where she originally received a Bachelor's Degree in Science. After several years of working in the corporate arena, she decided to return to The Ohio State University to obtain her Master of Social Work.

Deborah is also an instructor for Action for Children, and she teaches classes such as The Art of Positive Parenting and Parents Who Parent Separately. She provides individual, couples, and family counseling, and she also coaches parents on parenting through difficult times.

Additionally, Deborah is a Domestic Relations Mediator. Mediation is a problem-solving approach that creates an emotionally safe environment for decision-making for couples who are ending their marriage. Deborah integrates her background in counseling with extensive mediation training through the Franklin County and Ohio Court System. With divorcing clients, Deborah provides the capability for couples to create a self-directed Divorce agreement that works for both parties.

Deborah believes that it is within the power of each and every person to create the life he or she desires. She works with her clients to develop new strategies for breaking old, internalized patterns of thinking and believing that are preventing them from moving forward. She uses strengths-based, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness techniques. Deborah works to provide a nurturing and supportive relationship that allows for insight and taking steps toward working through problems to create solutions that work.


Helka Gienapp, LPCC-S (she/her)
Office Location: Westerville


Helka Gienapp is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board. Helka received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Women’s Studies from The Ohio State University. She earned her Master of Science in Education in Community Counseling from University of Dayton. Helka is one of the full-time outpatient therapists at Nemeth Counseling. 

Helka has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. Her experience includes working in a nonprofit community agency providing therapy to clients of all ages with a variety of mental and emotional disorders. Prior to joining Nemeth Counseling, Helka worked with a team in developing and facilitating a partial hospitalization program providing intensive outpatient group therapy.

Helka works with individuals, couples, and families with mental and emotional concerns, such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, behavior disorders, trauma, grief, and personality disorders. She approaches treatment as a partnership with the client to facilitate personal growth, learn how to manage their symptoms, and develop progress towards treatment goals. Helka incorporates several areas of counseling in treatment, including, but not limited to, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Solution Focused approaches, and Family Systemic Therapy.

Helka creates a safe and supportive environment in which clients can develop a better understanding of self, motivations, and symptoms. She utilizes reflective listening and education to empower clients to be more effective in their approaches to relationships, communication, life stressors, and problem-solving.


Steve Guglielmi, LPCC-S
Office Location: Hilliard


Steve Guglielmi is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from The Ohio State University. He then went on to receive his Master of Science in Education in Community Counseling from University of Dayton.

At Nemeth Counseling, Steve is the Outpatient Therapist with the longest tenure. Most of Steve’s experience stems from working in the non-profit sector. He has previously held positions at Huckleberry House and at Netcare, acting as a Community Crisis Response Clinician. Steve completed his internship at Mt. Carmel’s Crime and Trauma Assistance Program, receiving premier training in trauma-related issues, including grief care and abuse healing.

Steve incorporates several different areas of counseling in his treatment including, but not limited to, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systemic Therapy, and Solution Focused approaches. Steve has an extensive background working with teenagers and families. His focus is on assisting them in the development of healthy family and communication dynamics to create a safe and loving home environment. Steve has used his skills to assist his clients in dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant behaviors, family disruption, reactions to divorce, post-traumatic stress disorder, and problems related to unhealthy anger expression.

Outside of work, Steve is an active member of The Children Affected by Violence Board and Chi Sigma Iota and has experience training Columbus Police officers in Crisis Intervention skills assessment. Steve has also volunteered over 140 hours on the Suicide Prevention Hotline.

Steve utilizes a highly active listening approach to develop a relationship with his clients and to assist them in learning healthy ways to manage and work through difficult issues. One of his greatest strengths is identifying the core reasons behind dysfunctional behavior to assist his clients in mastering skills to promote long term growth. When working with Steve, clients can expect a safe, nurturing, and confidential environment. His style allows clients to learn more about themselves and to develop long-lasting skills to achieve fulfillment and happiness.


Melissa Herr, LPC

Office Location: Hilliard

Melissa Herr is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Melissa received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Youngstown State University, with a major in Special Education for students with mild to moderate disabilities from grades K-12. Melissa taught for three years in the state of Washington, where she was also heavily involved in community outreach for a small church plant in Seattle. She then moved back to Ohio to begin her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Dayton.

At Nemeth Counseling, Melissa works as an outpatient therapist providing counseling to a diverse population of individuals, couples, and families. She works with clients battling many emotional and behavioral concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, autism, depression, mood disorders, anger, life transitions, career guidance, and stress.  Melissa is open to including a person's spirituality into their healing process

Melissa uses evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), solution-focused therapy, family systems therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and other strengths-based approaches. She is dedicated to creating a safe, judgement-free environment for each of her clients. She is direct and transparent with her clients in order to help them achieve the results they desire.


Megan Kavinsky, LPC

Office Location: Westerville

Megan Kavinsky is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University in Human Development and Family Science, and went on to attend Ashland Theological Seminary, where she received her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health. Prior to her counseling career, Megan taught preschool. She enjoyed helping families with education plans to assure success in kindergarten and beyond.

Megan’s counseling career began at Beacon Counseling, where she gained experience in providing services for adults, children, and teens. She is specifically trained in Gottman Level 2 Couples Therapy.

At Nemeth Counseling, Megan works with individuals facing a variety of difficulties including, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Her treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Gottman Level 2 Couples Therapy.

Megan is fully dedicated to working with her clients to reach the goals they want to achieve. She treats each client with respect provides each of them with a compassionate and attentive style.


Eric Lichtenfeld, LSW (he/him)
Office Location: Westerville


Eric Lichtenfeld enjoys being a full-time outpatient therapist at Nemeth Counseling, and a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board. He studied film at Wesleyan University and UCLA, and later earned a Master’s degree in social work from The Ohio State University. He has been a writer and an educator, and has helped lead support groups for survivors of loss and of trauma. He has also been a volunteer at Kobacker House, where he supported the physical and emotional needs of hospice patients and their families.

At Nemeth Counseling, Eric works with adults, adolescents, children, and couples on a host of concerns—most notably, depression, anxiety, and relationships—and specializes in loss and grief. For each of his clients, he aims to create a genuine connection, help them recognize their own strength, and make sure they feel heard and supported.

Eric believes that everyone has a story. As a therapist, he draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy, solutions-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and more to help clients see their stories in new ways and to change them for the better.


Jon Lucas, LISW-S (he/him)

Office Location: Westerville

 

Jon Lucas is licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapy Board as an Independently Licensed Social Worker with a Supervisory designation.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Bluffton University in Bluffton, OH and his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.

Jon has several years of experience in pediatric behavioral health working for Saint Vincent Family Center as an Intensive Home-Based Clinician and as an Outpatient Family Services Clinician, where he gained experience in individual and family therapy and crisis intervention. Prior to his experience at Saint Vincent Family Center, he was a mental health advocate for those living with severe and persistent mental illness in Franklin County.

Jon specializes in working with and helping individuals who have experienced trauma to overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and grief.  He also has experience working with parents to assist them in developing effective parenting techniques and strengthening the parent-child bond.

Jon is trained in EMDR and a number of other evidenced-based therapeutic modalities including Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy, Child Centered Play Therapy, and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, which integrates brain development into clinical problem solving.

Jon believes strongly in fostering an ability in all people to develop their own solutions to life’s challenges, and that developing a therapeutic partnership can help clients realize their potential.


Patty McClarren, LSW

Office Location: Hilliard

Patty McClarren is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board. She holds a Master of Science in Social Administration from the Case Western Reserve University Mandel School of Social Work. Prior to joining Nemeth Counseling, her wide range of experiences included working with adults and teens at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital, The Ohio State University, and Ohio Mentor Foster Care Agency.

At Nemeth Counseling, Patty is dedicated to meeting individual needs by incorporating a client-centered and trauma-informed approach with evidence-based practices. Her preferred modalities include Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy.

Patty recognizes making the decision to begin counseling is not easy. She is passionate about helping people cope with grief, trauma, and life changing events; other specialties include postpartum, adoption, relationship, and LGBTQIA issues. Patty seeks to help her clients release feelings such as sadness, fear, shame, and anxiety, while restoring clarity and positive self-esteem. Individuals and families of all ages, cultures, races, spiritualities, sexual orientations, and gender identities are welcome.


Kendle Meese, LSW (she/her)
Office Location: Hilliard

Kendle Meese is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Maryland and continued her education at The Ohio State University where she earned her Master of Social Work.

Prior to joining Nemeth Counseling, Kendle worked in numerous settings including shelters for survivors of domestic violence and non-profit organizations. In each experience, Kendle has had the opportunity to diversify her professional skills. She previously served as a Group Program Facilitator for children from violent homes, a Program Administrator for preventative programming targeting Child Sexual Abuse, and a Case Manager for the Compass Program, a court program linking underserved populations owing child support to career building services.

At Nemeth Counseling, Kendle provides ongoing counseling services to a diverse caseload of adults, children, couples, and families. She uses evidence-based practices such as Strength’s Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused CBT, to inform therapeutic interventions. Kendle uses a multidisciplinary approach to evoke client change and healthy problem solving, and believes in a client-centered approach to treatment, striving to build a positive therapeutic relationship with each client. She enjoys working with individuals of all cultures, races, ages, spiritualities, sexual orientation and gender, and aims to create a safe and supportive space to engage with clients.


Julie Piatt, LSW

Office Location: Community-Based

 

Julie is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Julie received her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Social Work from The Ohio State University.

Julie has worked in the mental health field for 19 years, primarily with children and families who have experienced trauma. Julie is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.

Julie serves as the Community-Based Coordinator at Nemeth and provides most of her services in the home and school settings. Julie specializes in working with children who have been sexually abused, but also works with children that have been exposed to violence. Julie provides a safe and secure setting for the individuals that she works with as they go through the healing process, and she is a strong advocate for safety through that process.


Rebecca Szanto, LPCC, BCBA, COBA

Office Location: Hilliard

 

Rebecca Szanto is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselors, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She completed her graduate training at Youngstown State University, where she focused her studies on working with families impacted by autism spectrum disorder and other exceptionalities. Rebecca is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst. She completed her behavioral intervention training and coursework at Kent State University. Rebecca specialized in working with children and adolescents with and without disabilities who engage in challenging behavior in their home and school environments.

Rebecca's areas of special interest include the intersection between autism spectrum disorder and anxiety disorders, behavioral disorders, anxiety and depression, and trauma-focused care. She enjoys presenting at state and national conferences on these topics and provides training to clinicians related to managing challenging behavior and teaching new skills. Additionally, she has served in a variety of settings including residential care, summer camp programming, home-based behavioral tutoring, and community mental health services.

Much of Rebecca's therapeutic approach is based on a combination of the tenets of behavior modification, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family systems therapy. This approach aids her in helping clients and caregivers alter both their environments and cognitions in order to foster growth and improve emotional and behavioral outcomes.

Rebecca is a big kid at heart and loves to foster a genuine and enjoyable therapeutic experience for all of her clients. She loves to utilize creative modalities such as music and art within her practice and assist clients with reaching their therapeutic goals.


Chelsey Ulry, LPC

Office Location: Westerville

 

Chelsey Ulry is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Chelsey attended the Ohio State University to obtain her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a focus in Education and a minor in Classical Humanities. She later went on to receive her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary.

Prior to receiving her Master’s Degree, Chelsey worked in a variety of roles at Nemeth Counseling, including as Office Manager and Intake Manager. In these roles, she was passionate about developing and streamlining policies and procedures and creating a culture that ensured clients received the highest quality of care.

Chelsey now works as an Outpatient Therapist and provides counseling to individuals, couples, and families. She assists clients who are facing a variety of mental and emotional concerns, such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, anger, life transitions, stress, and trauma. Chelsey’s special interests include working with couples and individuals to facilitate healthy and effective communication and ultimately find joy in their relationships. Chelsey takes an integrative approach to counseling, using tenets from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Strengths-Based approaches.

In addition to her role as an Outpatient Therapist, Chelsey works as the Public Image Coordinator and is an active member of the Community Relations Team, where she enjoys engaging with community members about mental health topics and services.

For interested clients, Chelsey is able to provide Biblically-based, nondenominational Christian counseling to help them manage and resolve current life struggles. Chelsey is passionate about finding the intersection between empirically-based counseling approaches and Christianity, and subsequently providing her clients with the space and guidance to find healing within their faith.

Chelsey strives to provide an environment of warmth and authenticity in session, and she believes that each client is unique and valuable. Chelsey identifies and draws upon her clients’ strengths to empower them to accomplish their goals and find fulfillment in their lives.


Laura Valentino, LISW-S (she/her)

Laura Valentino is an Independently Licensed Social Worker by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts and her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University.

Laura has several years of experience in pediatric behavioral health working for St. Vincent Family Centers as an Outpatient Therapist and as a School Age Clinician in the Therapeutic School where she gained experience in both individual and family therapy. Prior to her work at St. Vincent Family Center, Laura worked with homeless survivors of domestic violence and their children as a Home-Based Clinician and Housing Advocate, and was also a Counselor on the Rape Crisis Hotline for Central Massachusetts Rape Crisis Center.

At Nemeth Counseling, Laura is the Assistant Clinical Director and an Outpatient Therapist. Laura specializes in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, as well as assisting individuals manage or overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and grief. She also has extensive experience assisting families in acquiring effective parenting skills and techniques.

Laura is trained in EMDR, as well as several other evidence-based interventions. She believes in a client-centered approach to treatment in which a partnership is created in the therapeutic relationship. Laura creates a space in which clients feel welcomed, safe, and cared for during sessions. She believes strongly in the importance of respect and kindness and welcomes individuals and families of all cultures, races, spiritualties, ages, sexual orientations and genders.


Heather Willey, LISW

Heather Willey is a Licensed Independent Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board. Heather graduated from the Ohio State University with her Master of Social Work, after completing her Bachelor’s degree at Miami University, with a focus on the sociological impacts of crime and deviance.

Heather spent the beginning of her career at a local mental health agency, working as both a foster care clinician as well as an outpatient therapist for home and community-based services. During this time, she worked with children, adults, and families, utilizing a wrap-around approach with the belief that problems both affect and are affected by many aspects of a person’s life. This approach involves a focus on interpersonal relationships, physical health, and support systems, among other things, in an effort to improve emotional health.

At Nemeth Counseling and Consultation, Heather works as an Outpatient Therapist, providing mental health services for adolescents and adults, both individually and within the family unit. She also contributes to the Couples Program, working to help couples achieve satisfaction in their relationships. Heather also leads an annual Wellness Group geared towards refreshing habits in five areas of wellness. Her treatment approaches are guided by the methods of Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (in addition to Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Strengths-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. Her approach often contains a combination of methods that suits the needs of the client, and she highly values client feedback.

Heather places a large emphasis on the importance of stability and satisfaction in important core relationships and works to help each client strengthen these relationships, while simultaneously working through personal emotional health issues. She enjoys actively listening to client's life situations and helping guide them to discover their own solutions and potential, and she believes that self-determination is vital to success. She remains goal-oriented throughout therapy and helps clients meet these goals by utilizing their own strengths and support systems. She offers a warm and honest personality as well as an empathetic and supportive environment, while thinking "outside the box" and offering creative ways to seek solutions and find meaning in life.


Emily Wilson, LSW (she/her)

Emily Wilson is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of Wooster. Additionally, she has a Master of Research from the University of York and a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University.

Emily previously worked for five years at Disability Rights Ohio, the state's mandated protection and advocacy agency for people with disabilities, providing short term assistance to people with a variety of disabilities living throughout the state of Ohio. She also has experience working with children in a non-therapeutic agency.

Emily is passionate about working with the LGBTQIA community. She is also passionate about using strengths-based practices to work with clients dealing with trauma and living with anxiety in order to help them identify and enhance their coping practices.

Emily fully believes that building a nonjudgmental and validating relationship with her clients is an incredibly important piece of the therapeutic process, and she strives to establish a trusting and healthy dynamic through the process; however, she also sees the importance of using research-based methods and engaging clients with methodologies based on their individual needs.


Hayley Wright, LPC (she/her)

Hayley Wright is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Hayley received her Bachelor of Science from Eastern Kentucky University. She then went to Northern Kentucky University to earn a dual Master's degree in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Hayley works as an Outpatient Therapist and provides counseling to individuals, couples, and families. She works with clients who battle with many emotional and behavioral concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, anger, life transitions, career guidance, and stress. She has the most experience working with individuals dealing with grief and trauma. Hayley also has a special interest in working with the athlete population, as she was a collegiate soccer player at EKU. She has worked with high school and collegiate athletes on a number of issues both related to sport performance enhancement and personal life stresses.

Hayley is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for clients to begin counseling. She enjoys looking at each individual client as their own person, and she strives to find the right combination of empirically-based therapy and specific, client-driven interventions to target her clients’ needs. Hayley is motivated to empower clients through a strengths-based lens in order to assist them in creating change.
