Alex Childs is a licensed Counselor Trainee (CT) through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board. Alex received an Associates of Arts degree in Sign Language Interpreting from Columbus State Community College, as well as earning his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the Ohio State University. Alex currently attends the University of Dayton as a master’s degree student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
At Nemeth Counseling, Alex works at the Westerville location as an outpatient clinician, providing mental health services to adolescents and adults. Alex excels at working with the LGBTQIA community, as well as the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. He is fluent in American Sign Language.
Alex uses a blend of empirically-based modalities to foster a supportive, transparent, validating environment to achieve change and growth toward each client’s individual goals. He believes that every client deserves to find peace, joy, and fulfillment in their life, and he strives to find and overcome the obstacles standing in their way.
