Alexandra Folzenlogen is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Alex received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at The Ohio State University. She went on to earn her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana State University.

In her first year of graduate school, Alex provided mental health services to children, adults, families, and couples in an outpatient setting. During her second year of graduate school, she worked as a therapist in the Student Services Center at Rose-Hulman University, providing individual, group, and couples therapy to a diverse population of college students. After graduate school, she moved back to Columbus, OH and worked at St. Vincent Family Center in the partial hospitalization program for two and a half years.

Alex continues to work with individuals, families and couples with mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, behavioral disorders, and substance use disorders. Her treatment approaches are guided by the methods of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing. Alex believes in providing a therapeutic environment based on authenticity, warmth, and support. She strives to assist each client in finding their personal strengths and empowering them to accomplish their treatment and life goals.
