Amanda Winck is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Social Work through The Ohio State University with minors in Women and Gender Studies and Sexuality Studies, and then earned her Master of Social Work through Boston University.
Prior to joining Nemeth Counseling, Amanda worked at a non-profit agency providing case management to victims of domestic violence. While earning her Masters degree, Amanda was a Clinical Social Work Intern at The Center for Balanced Living in the Partial Hospitalization Program treating eating disorders. Amanda has extensive experience in working with Trauma and assisting clients in overcoming barriers to meeting their goals.
At Nemeth Counseling, Amanda will provide outpatient therapy to adults, couples and families. Amanda uses multiple evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Trauma-informed Care. Amanda believes that therapy is a collaborative effort between the client and the therapist, and teaches clients the skills needed to cope with life stressors.
