Amber Jackson is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Board of the state of Ohio. She completed her graduate training at the University of Dayton where she primarily focused on working with children in the elementary school setting.
Amber’s areas of special interest are depression and anxiety disorders, ADHD, play therapy, trauma-focused CBT, cognitive restructuring, and behavioral disorders. She enjoys working with families as well as individual counseling with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Amber’s therapeutic approach is a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, behavioral modifications, experiential, and mindfulness practices. This eclectic approach allows collaboration between herself and the client as they work together to reach the client’s goals.
Amber is creative and eclectic and loves to create an environment in which all of her clients can thrive and enjoy the therapeutic experience.
