Eric Lichtenfeld enjoys being a full-time outpatient therapist at Nemeth Counseling, and a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board. He studied film at Wesleyan University and UCLA, and later earned a Master’s degree in social work from The Ohio State University. He has been a writer and an educator, and has helped lead support groups for survivors of loss and of trauma. He has also been a volunteer at Kobacker House, where he supported the physical and emotional needs of hospice patients and their families.
At Nemeth Counseling, Eric works with adults, adolescents, children, and couples on a host of concerns—most notably, depression, anxiety, and relationships—and specializes in loss and grief. For each of his clients, he aims to create a genuine connection, help them recognize their own strength, and make sure they feel heard and supported.
Eric believes that everyone has a story. As a therapist, he draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy, solutions-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and more to help clients see their stories in new ways and to change them for the better.
