Erin O’Riley is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Erin received a Bachelors of Art majoring in Psychology at The Ohio State University. She later earned her Master’s in Social Work at The Ohio State University, focusing on mental health and substance use.
Prior to working at Nemeth, Erin worked as a community-based therapist to serve children, adolescents, and adults in the Franklin and Union county area. She worked with individuals, families, and groups, with a focus on mental health and/or substance issues. Erin has ten years of experience working with the mental health and substance use community in one capacity or another.
Erin employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy while working with her clients. She also will supplement therapy with mindfulness and creative art activities to help promote healing and awareness.
Erin utilizes a collaborative approach with clients, taking in account each client’s background and situation, in order to create a safe, therapeutic relationship where clients can find support, insight, and the ability to develop life-long tools and coping skills.
