Laura Chase is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Laura attended Ohio University where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Social Work and Spanish. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work with a clinical focus on mental health and substance use at the Ohio State University.
Prior to her work at Nemeth Counseling, Laura worked for a community mental health agency in the Dayton area where she helped facilitate therapy groups for children and adolescents with various mental health needs. During her undergraduate years, Laura worked at an afterschool program with elementary and middle school students where she implemented social and emotional skills lessons.
At Nemeth, Laura works with children, adolescents, and adults. She has a special interest in working with the LGBTQ community and Spanish-speaking clients. Her therapeutic approach draws inspiration from Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-based interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Laura is dedicated to creating a supportive, collaborative relationship with her clients to help them address their goals.
