Megan Roesch is a Licensed Social Worker, licensed through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Megan received her Master’s degree in Social Work, with a focus in Mental Health and Substance Use practice. Before attending graduate school, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and briefly taught the first grade as a student teacher. Her work with young children in the classroom, who happened to be struggling with depression and ADHD, was what inspired her to work with children from a clinical perspective.
Megan has been in the clinical field for over two years and has worked with a variety of populations, including families, adults and children. Megan has worked in both an outpatient mental health setting as well as an inpatient crisis environment. In these settings, she has experience in working with clients both individually as well as in a group. She believes in utilizing a wide range of technique and skills, to ensure that she is prepared to help every different kind of client that she meets.
Through use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Treatment, Motivational Interviewing and other techniques, Megan has successfully worked with clients who are battling depression, anxiety, low self-worth, codependency characteristics, a history of trauma and/or neglect, as well as substance use. Her hope as a clinician is to be an advocate for all individuals to live happy and fulfilling lives.
