Rachel Chwalik is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The Ohio State University. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Dayton with electives in holistic wellness and child and adolescent counseling.
Rachel has experience working with diverse clients and various mental health diagnoses where she provided individual psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. She has assisted many clients through the struggles of anxiety, depression, and stresses of life transitions. Rachel takes an eclectic approach to counseling where she utilizes evidenced-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Solutions Focused, and Trauma-informed Care.
Her experiences have allowed her to cultivate a sense of appreciation and understanding of everyone’s unique life story. She believes in providing a safe, open, and non-judgmental atmosphere to allow each client to be their authentic and unique self. As we work to build resiliency through overcoming life’s challenges and obstacles together, you will begin to develop a plethora of skills to use as you embark on the journey of becoming your own therapist
