Shauna Tepper is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Shauna earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The Ohio State University. She continued her education at Ohio State and graduated from the university’s Master of Social Work program with a clinical focus on Mental Health and Substance Use practice.
Prior to joining Nemeth Counseling, Shauna worked in the non-profit sector with Columbus youth at an after school drop-in center, Kaleidoscope Youth Center. At the center Shauna provided youth ages 12-20 with life skills training, resource connection, affirming case management, and mentorship. Shauna continues her work at KYC as a weekly volunteer and advocate for LGBTQ+ youth.
At Nemeth Counseling, Shauna began as a clinical social work intern in both the Hilliard and Westerville offices for one year. She maintained a caseload consisting of children, adolescents and adults; additionally, she provided Contenting Education staff training, evidence-based outcome evaluation, and community relations assistance.
At Nemeth Counseling, Shauna provides counseling services to a diverse caseload including adults, children, and couples. She uses evidence-based practices including Strength’s Based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Progressive Counting, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and Trauma-Focused CBT. Shauna believes wholeheartedly in the power of collaboration within the therapeutic relationship. She enjoys focusing on client-centered services with an emphasis on empowerment, solidarity, and compassionate understanding.
